CanGoShare collects personal information necessary to facilitate user registration, safety verification, and platform communication:

• Account Information: Full Name, Email Address, Mobile Phone Number, Username, and Encrypted Password Hash.
• Rider / Driver Verification Documents: Driver's Licence (Front & Back), Vehicle Safety Inspection Certificate, Vehicle Insurance Document, Document Expiration Dates, Vehicle Make, Model, Colour, Plate Number, and Seat Capacity.
• Technical & Security Log Data: Device IP Address, Terms Acceptance Timestamps, Login Attempt Logs, and Session Activity Data.

2. Disclosure of IP Address & Legal Compliance Logging

As disclosed at registration, CanGoShare records your IP address (`terms_accepted_ip`) and timestamp (`terms_accepted_at`) when you accept our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. This data is collected solely for security auditing, legal compliance, and prevention of fraudulent or unauthorized account creation.

3. Document Security & Confidentiality

Driver verification documents (Licence, Safety Cert, Insurance) are stored using secure randomized file identifiers. Direct public directory browsing is disabled. Uploaded documents are strictly accessible only via authenticated endpoints (`download_document.php`) restricted to authorized Administrators and the Document Owner.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information exclusively to:

• Verify user identity and send single-use email verification tokens.
• Perform administrator review and verification of driver qualifications.
• Allow customers and selected drivers to coordinate pickup locations and ride details after acceptance.
• Send trip confirmations, review notices, and security alerts.
• Ensure platform integrity and comply with legal obligations.

5. Data Sharing & Zero Sale of Personal Data

Phone numbers are not published with travel requirements. Contact details are revealed only between the trip-owning customer and the driver selected by that customer, and access is logged for security.

CanGoShare does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or uploaded documents to any third-party advertisers or commercial entities. Limited contact information (e.g., driver name, mobile number, vehicle details) is shared only between confirmed ride participants to coordinate pickup.

6. Your Data Rights

You have the right to review, update, or correct your personal profile and vehicle documents at any time via your dashboard. You may also request account deletion or data export by contacting privacy@cangoshare.com.
